Description: The Mass Transit Rescue program is designed to give students a well-rounded education on bus construction and types of buses, as well as, other forms of public transportation. Discussed in the class are tour buses, trains, and a special emphasis placed on school buses. Basic Extrication procedures, intermediate procedures and advanced rescue techniques are taught in a mix of field and classroom activities. Taught on a regional basis by TARS certified college level instructors.

Prequisites: Must have current certification in Basic Extrication.
Copies of the prerequisites must be turned in with the application.

Notes: DUE TO THE AVAILABILITY OF BUSES, THIS CLASS WILL BE LIMITED TO THE FIRST 20 STUDENTS ENROLLED.
Participants will be required to furnish and wear NFPA approved turnout gear. Extrication Coveralls Helmet Eye Protection leather type gloves or extrication gloves hard sole shoes preferably steel toed or any NFPA approved type boot.
Rescue Tools will be provided.
Class starts at 6:00 PM EST on Friday evening at the Sevier County Rescue Squad Headquarters Building.
PLEASE NOTE: ALL REGISTRATIONS RECEIVED TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO THE CLASS WILL BE AT REGULAR LISTED PRICING. ALL REGISTRATIONS RECEIVED DURING THE TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO THE CLASS MUST ADD AN ADDITIONAL 20.00 FEE PER STUDENT TO THE ADVERTISED PRICING.
