Description: This course provides a basic introduction into response for accidents involving race cars. Includes anatomy of the race car, extrication techniques, motorsports equipment, safety devices, spill control, clean-up, and extinguishing small vehicle fires along with victim removal. The course is taught by certified TARS college level instructors with real world motorsports rescue experience.
This class is a mix of classroom and field exercises including one day of classroom lecture and one day of actual field exercises on race car chassis in live instructor led scenarios at the race track.
Cost is $85.00 per student for TARS members, $150.00 per student for Associate members, and $200 per student for non-TARS members

Prequisites: Must have current Basic Vehicle Extrication Certification or higher level of vehicle extrication training.

Notes: This class is specifically geared toward rescuers who provide safety fire protection and extrication services at local race tracks. The emphasis of this course is geared toward dirt and asphalt round track cars and procedures.
