Annual Instructor I Updates Region 1

Description: Annual Instructor I Updates are the bi-annual training required for TARS certified Instructor I level instructors to remain instructors and learn new and valuable teaching skills for their upcoming training classes. ALL instructors are required to attend one of the annual regional updates every two years to retain their instructor rating.
Due to the growth of our Squad/Department level Instructor I System, the following changes implemented remain regarding annual updates:
* A two year certification period became effective for Level I Instructors.
*The two year fee is now $30 ($15 per year).
*Locations for the 4 regional updates are to better centralize and access to accommodate the larger attendance.
Please attend only the skill areas you are certified to instruct.
*Extrication - 9:00 am - 12:00 pm EST.
*Lunch - 12:00pm - 1:30pm pm EST.
*Bloodborne Pathogen/EVOC/VKF - 1:30pm - 3:30 pm EST.
No preregistration is needed, register on site.
NOTE: If an instructor does not make any one of the updates in the 4 regions, that instructor will be in default of their instructor certification. Third year failure to attend the bi-annual required update will result in complete loss of Instructor Certification. Reinstatement within a two year period of expiration will require a $100.00 reinstatement fee plus $15 per year expired not to exceed a total of $130 to bring the instructor to the current year, then the instructor will be responsible for an additional $30 at the instructor update to extend their instructor rating for the additional two years.
