Description: The Mass Transit Rescue program is designed to give students a well-rounded education on bus construction and types of buses, as well as, other forms of public transportation. Discussed in the class are tour buses, trains, and a special emphasis placed on school buses. Basic Extrication procedures, intermediate procedures and advanced rescue techniques are taught in a mix of field and classroom activities. Taught on a regional basis by TARS certified college level instructors.

Prequisites: Must have current certification in Basic Extrication.
**Copies of the prerequisites must be turned in with the application.

Directions: Directions will be posted pending host agency scheduling.
Food & Lodging: Food and Lodging are the responsibility of the student.
Notes: Course will start at 6:00 PM CST on Friday night at the Ethridge Fire Department.
Participants will be required to furnish and wear NFPA approved turnout gear / Extrication Coveralls Helmet Eye Protection leather type gloves or extrication gloves hard sole shoes preferably steel toed or any NFPA approved type boot.
Rescue Tools will be provided.
